Welcome to my web site. It is a pleasure and honor for me to serve as County Legislator for the 11th Legislative District. While my Legislative district includes the Town of Onondaga, the Town of Camillus and the City of Syracuse, all votes I take at Legislative sessions and Legislative policy committees impact all Onondaga County residents. As part of my service, I try to keep my constituents and all County residents updated about important news and information.
I use my website as a means to communicate news directly to the public. This website includes information about my work as a County Legislator, breaking news from the County Legislature and financial and policy data about County government. Additionally, this website contains Legislative Updates which detail actions taken by the County Legislature at the monthly Legislative sessions.
I hope you find my website interesting and informative. If you have specific questions or comments for me, please click on the “Contact” icon to find my phone, fax and email contact information. I am always interested to hear your thoughts and comments or lend a hand if you have a neighborhood issue that needs attention.
Very truly, |

News Onondaga County Garners Top Notch Credit Rating Onondaga County has secured top notch credit ratings for borrowing for necessary County projects. Wall Street rating agencies have given |

Onondaga County some of the highest credit ratings available. Fitch Ratings gave Onondaga County its highest AAA rating, and Moody’s Investors Service issued its second highest rating Aa1, as did Standard & Poor’s at AA+. The better the ratings, the lower the interest cost the County will pay to finance necessary infrastructure projects such as roads, sewer, bridges and other projects. Fitch indicated the County’s sound financial management is a primary reason for the very high credit ratings. (Compliments of the Post Standard)
Onondaga County Gets Bargain Rate for Bonds Onondaga County sold bonds this week to finance capital projects (including roads, bridges and infrastructure) at the lowest interest rate it has paid in at least a decade, saving taxpayers millions of dollars in interest payments. The bonds carry an average interest rate of 2.65% compared to an average of 3.85% on the last bond offering which saves close to $5.0 million dollars in interest payments. The County Executive, Joanie Mahoney, said County Legislators helped bolster credit rates and the interest payment savings when they passed a new sales tax sharing agreement last month. |
